We believe talent should not be limited by lack of access.
Too many independent artists have the passion, the work ethic, and the creative gift—but not always the support, funding, or connections needed to move forward.
Our mission is to help change that by investing in artists and opening doors that help their music reach the people it was meant to reach.
Our Story
The Texas Independent Artist Foundation was born from one of the hardest seasons of my life.
After experiencing a traumatic loss, I found myself searching for something—anything—that could reach the grief and emptiness I was carrying. What I found was healing through music.
In moments when words failed, music spoke. Through heartfelt songwriting, live performances, and the voice of someone very special to me, I experienced firsthand how deeply music can comfort, heal, and carry a person through pain. Songs became more than entertainment to me—they became hope, connection, and a reminder that even broken hearts can heal.
That experience changed my life forever.
But it also opened my eyes to something else: so many incredibly talented independent artists are creating music that has the power to move and heal people, yet many of them never receive the support or opportunities they need to truly be heard.
Behind every song is an artist with a story.
A dream.
A voice that deserves a chance.
I created the Texas Independent Artist Foundation because I believe authentic music matters. I believe songs can bring people together, inspire hope, preserve stories, and change lives in ways we often don’t realize until we need them most.
My hope is that this foundation will help emerging artists pursue their passion, access opportunities they otherwise couldn’t afford, and continue creating the kind of meaningful music that touches hearts and changes lives—just like it changed mine.

Meet Morgan Layne
Featured Artist
My name is Morgan Layne, and I’m a country artist and songwriter from Bulverde, Texas. I currently attend Tarleton State University and will be graduating in Summer 2026. Music has always been a big part of my life, but songwriting is where I found what I truly love. Being able to turn real experiences and emotions into songs is something I’m really passionate about, and I hope to share that with people everywhere.
I play country music inspired by artists like Cody Johnson, Miranda Lambert, Lainey Wilson, and George Strait. Most of my songs come from personal experiences, heartbreak, relationships, and everyday life. I love writing music people can relate to and feel connected to. One of my favorite parts of music is performing and songwriting.
There’s nothing better than connecting with people through a song and knowing they feel the same emotions behind it. As I get ready to graduate and continue chasing this dream, I’m excited to keep writing, performing, and sharing my music with new audiences.
